Humility is the basis of anonymity. Anonymity is the foundation of AA. If you are not for yourself, then who will be? If you are for yourself alone, what are you? Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. You can be on the right road, but if you don’t keep moving you will get run over. It’s hard to switch from Murphy’s Law (anything that can go wrong will) to expecting good. Very few of us know what we want and none of us knows what’s good for us. If I truly will to do God’s will I will not make a wrong decision. God whispers to us in our pleasures, speaks to us in our conscience, and shouts to us in our pain. Mood follows action. 10th step axiom - If you have a problem with someone else…look at yourself. You spot it you got it. I don’t think much of myself but I’m all I think of. When going through Hell, keep going. If your religion injures your intelligence it is bad; if it injures your character it is vicious; if it injures you conscience it is criminal. Malignant Narcissism - characterized by an un-submitted will. All adults who are mentally healthy submit themselves to something higher than themselves, be it God or truth or Love or some other ideal. Worry is like a rocking chair, it gives you something to do but it doesn’t get you anywhere. Instead of putting others in their place, put yourself in their place. The three C’s; I didn’t cause it; I don’t control it; I can’t cure it. The three C’s; Cease to enable, Change yourself and Confront when necessary. The three C’s; Do Not Critisize, Condemn or Complain Weapons of an alcoholic; Guilt, Fear, & Protectiveness An once of pretension is worth a pound of manure. TLC Total Lack of Concern SLIP Sobriety Loses It’s Priority In the beginning God made……(read the curse of woman) Genesis 3 Proverbs; Do not answer a stupid man in the language of his folly or you will grow like him. Answer a stupid man as his folly deserves or he will think himself a wise man. A man that thinks by the inch, and talks by the yard, needs to be kicked in the ass by the foot. If you won’t hear the truth, any lie will do. You can fail many times but you are never a failure until you start blaming someone else. Forgiveness: Surrendering my right to hurt you back. Silence is not always golden, sometimes it’s just plain yellow. People who cut corners go around in circles. Rule 63: Don’t take life to damn seriously. The Golden Rule - Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. The first three steps condensed; I can’t, He can, So let Him. Self esteem is self knowledge plus acceptance. If I understand, things are as they are; if I don’t understand, things are as they are. Prayer: Lord give me a dream that helps me to fly, please give me the strength no matter how high.
