The MIRACLE IN MY LIFE

Letters of Faith

A dear friend of our family, whom I hadn't seen since I was a little girl, wrote me this letter just a week after my release from the hospital when it had been suggested that I contact hospice for further assistance......

December 27, 1999

Greetings to you, Joy, in the name of the Lord! I have felt very impressed to send you a note of encouragement and a prayer cloth my Pastor anointed it with anointing oil and he and our whole congregation came together and laid hands on it on your behalf. I want you to pin it on your clothing each day near your stomach - pin it so it will be touching that area.

Jim and I learned of your condition about two weeks ago and you have certainly laid heavy on my heart and mind. I am a "firm" beliver in the power of God. I have seen the hand of God more in the lives of so many people in the last 34 years since I gave my heart to Him and I have seen the miracles of many healings take place. God is good!

I guess we'll never understand why, at least not in this life, good people have to suffer with diseases and afflictions but, I do know that God said "He never changes - He's the same yesterday, today and forever" and what he did when he ministered on this earth (opening blinded eyes, making the lame to walk again, opening deaf ears, healing the woman who had bled for years and had spent all of her money on doctors, feeding more than five thousand people with one little boys bag of lunch.) He can do today. He is able to do exceeding abundantley above all that we ask or think. He will remain faithful and that really excites me!

Because of His word and the authority He has given to use His name when we pray, diseases are healed - even cancer; cancer has to bow at the name of Jesus. There is absolutely nothing "too big for God". He is the Creator of Heaven and earth and all that we see and don't see and He is the Great Physician! Praise the Lord! Where is God when we are in pain and we're suffering? He is ever-present and all knowing - with us in all our struggles and trials. Nothing in our lives takes God by surprise. He is a very present help in trouble - you're not alone in your illness - you have God whom you can call on any time of the day or night - He never sleeps - He'll never leave you - Hel'' be right there. He is in control. When doctors say "no", God says "Yes". John 14: 13 & 14 says "whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, I will do it." Matthew 7: 7&8 says "Ask and ye shall receive." Mark 11: 24 says "what things you desire, believe that you receive them and ye shall have them." God also said in Matthew 18:19 that if "two or more agree on anything, it shall be done."

He can carry out His promises. God does not lie. And He is no respector of persons - what He does for one, He can do for you. Your illness did not catch Him off guard. He knew about it before you or your doctors. He knew long ago what you would be going through today. This just gives you the opportunity to draw closer to Him and to see His hand at work. You can count on Him because He is the Almight God. Most "stuff" or things here on earth breaks down on the day after the guarantee runs out, but not with Jesus. What He has promised in His word, you can bank on it.

It is so reassuring to know that God is still all - powerful - that nothing can touch our life without His permission. Things happen to me sometimes it seems like my life is falling to pieces - I get placed in situations that become difficult and I'm not happy about it and I cannot understand the "why" of it all, but I never doubt God's love. In my hour of trial I may not be able to see His design, but I am confident it must be in line with His purpose.

In your hour of trial, regardless of what doctors say, you see yourself healed- proclaim your healing- regardless of how you may physically "feel" - you visualize yourself completely healed - believe that this wonderful, awesome and powerful God has already started a healing in your body because I believe He has. You see, I believe the throne of God has gruly been rocked with the rush of anxious voices going up on your behalf.

Hebrews 11: 1 says, "Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen." Speak your healing - speak it as it were when Jesus went to the cross, one of those stripes on His back was for the healing of the cancer in your body. God loves you and it's not His desire for you to be sick. He can do the surgery on your body because His power is far beyond the human power and none of us can comprehend it but prayer will unleash that power. You can walk straight into the safe arms of Jesus and feel secure and have peace - that's where we have placed you - in His arms.

I believe God has a great work for you, Joy. You're being tested and tried and put through the fire, but if you lean on Him, you'll come out as pure gold. Your value is going up - you're becoming a brand new wine! And God's grace is going to see you through this thing. The wonderful thing about God's amazing grace is that we can draw from it anytime we want, as often as we want and as much as we want or need for our situation. His grace never runs out - there is a vast supply. He says "His grace is sufficient." There is enough to replenish and to satisfy you. And thank God for His sweet spirit - for His Spirit is our teacher, our guide and our comforter. He is oil to our lamps, wind to our vessel and fuel for our fire.

By His assistance, I believe you're going to be able to do what you want, not only successfully but with comfort because His word says in Phil. 4: 13 "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me." You can depend totally on Him because of His grace.

God Bless You, Joy, and I know He Will!
